RDIF: Chinese investors show interest in Sovcomflot privatization

VLADIVOSTOK, Sep 5 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) is still interested in privatization of shipping company Sovcomflot and it also sees interest of the Chinese investors, CEO Kirill Dmitriev told PRIME on Tuesday.

“We are still interested in Sovcomflot and we know that there will be big interest from the Chinese investors,” he said.

Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin said in August that the government keeps plans to sell a 25% minus one share stake in Sovcomflot in 2017.

First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said earlier that privatization of Sovcomflot can be completed not only through a stock exchange placement.
